I just got a new server as the old server is too slow. What is the easiest
way to export the following to the new server:
1. Linked server configurations
2. Replication configuration
I read the Microsoft document called "HOW TO: Move Databases Between
Computers That Are Running SQL Server" but it does not discuss replication
information and linked servers. Right now the server is a publisher and I
have another box for the distributor and multiple boxes for subscribers. I'de
like to do the least amount of change on the replication and hope that there
is a way to restore the publisher databases on the new server (which has a
different name) and still have replication working.
